Vehicle hardening · Dream Shield group

Your car can be taken in under thirty seconds. It was built that way.

Not forced. Not hot-wired. A ten-dollar device pushed into the wiring behind a headlight, telling the car a valid key is present. The car believes it, because it was designed to believe anything on its own network.

The car believes whatever it reads.

The CAN bus was designed in the 1980s for a closed, trusted environment. It has no message authentication. Every control unit in the vehicle believes whatever appears on the wire.

That was reasonable when nothing could reach the wire. Then manufacturers added keyless entry, a diagnostics port, a cellular modem, an app, and a screen — and every one of them is a door.

We close the doors you do not use, and we put a lock on the ones you do.

A 1995 car cannot be stolen by a laptop. That is not nostalgia. That is an attack surface.
What leaves your vehicle

Your car is having conversations you were not part of.

Where you went. How fast. How hard you braked. When you left and when you came back. Modern vehicles transmit continuously, and the owner is rarely told what leaves or where it lands.

Nothing is jammed and nothing is spoofed. We do not interfere with any signal. We remove what should not have been transmitting, and we shield what remains.

The work

What we do to a vehicle.

Network

CAN hardening

The injection paths closed at the wiring, the diagnostics port locked, and the bus made unwilling to take orders from anything that was not there when you bought it.

Removal

De-teching

Screens you never use taken out, the modem removed, telematics deleted, and physical controls put back where menus were.

Interrupt

Kill switches

Hidden, physical, and not on the network. The car cannot be started by anything that does not know where they are.

Control

Steering wheel

Custom and removable, Formula One influence, engineered with the airbag retained. The wheel leaves with you and the safety system stays intact.

Shielding

Sound and pulse

Sound deadening that also shields against electromagnetic pulse. Quieter inside, and harder to reach from outside.

Closed course

Blackout

Brake and running lights on an interrupt, for track and private property only. Never for public roads, and we put that in writing.

The queue

Armor clients first. Everyone else joins the line.

Sovereign is open to anyone. Dream Shield Armor clients are scheduled ahead of the queue, because a hardened vehicle and an armored one are the same project done properly.

The work is carried out in house by Dream Shield Audio. Nothing is subcontracted and nothing leaves the group.

Apply

Tell us the vehicle.

Make, model, year, and what you are worried about. We will tell you what can be done to it and where you sit in the queue.

Sovereign is a Proselyte Holdings company. Nothing here is a quotation. Work on any individual vehicle is specified in writing before it begins.
